Entries Open: April 22, 2026 at 9:00 AM CST
Exempt Entry Deadline: June 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST
Entries Close: June 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM
Withdrawal Deadline: June 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM
Entry Fee: $350 – Includes a minimum of three rounds of golf, carts, range balls, lunch, player gift and awards.

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers who reside in Texas with a certified WHS handicap of 14.4 or better from a TGA Member course/club. For further details please reference Women’s Competition Policies – TGA.

Entry Procedure: Maximim field is 96. All golfers will be placed in pending registration when they register. Players who have earned an exempion will be confirmed shorlty after registering. All others remain pending until the close of registration on June 3 at 5:00 pm. At that time, players will be confirmed in the field by lowest handicaps first. June 3 handicaps will be used. If the event becomes over sold, a wait list will be started.

Exemptions: Provided players are otherwise eligible, exemptions are given to the following:

  • Past Champions last five years
  • Previous year Semi-finalists
  • Top three finishers previous year Women’s Stroke Play Championship
  • Top two finishers previous year Women’s Senior Stroke Play Championship
  • Previous year Women’s Player of the Year
  • Previous year Senior Women’s Player of the Year
  • Previous year Girls Junior Amateur Champion
  • Previous year Girls Invitational Champion
  • Previous year Junior Girls Player of the year
  • Low Texan 2026 Kathy Whitworth Invitational
  • Three Host Club Exemptions

Championship Information

Format/Field Size: Play will consist of an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round for all players. The 32 players with lowest qualifying scores will fill the Championship bracket and contend for the title. Remaining players will be divided into eight flights based on qualifying score. In each flight, players will be seeded by qualifying score. All matches in the Championship bracket and flights will be single elimination match play. Maximum field is 96 players.

What’s Included: The championship includes golf, player carts, player gift, lunch during stipulated tournament rounds and awards.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed (1) complimentary practice round at The Nelson – TPC Las Colinas on Monday June 22. Players will use Golf Genius to sign up for practice round times. Details about practice round sign up will be made available once entries close. Please do not call the golf shop. Only tee times made through Golf Genius will be honored on that day.

Registration Information: Player registration will be held on Monday June 22. Time and location TBD.

Starting Times/Pairings Information: Starting times and pairings for the qualifying round will be made available at www.txga.org no later than Friday June 19th by 5:00 pm. subsequent match play pairings will be available online the evening prior to the following day throughout the championship week.

Caddies: Caddies are permitted during the championship. Players are responsible for supplying their own caddie for the competition. Caddies adhere to all TGA Competition Policies and host club policies.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Prior to the entry deadline players looking to withdraw should do so online through their Golf Genius user profile or by contacting the TGA Staff Contact directly. After the entry deadline has passed players should either call the Texas Golf Association at (214) 468-8942 or email the TGA Staff Contact directly. Only withdrawals made prior to the withdrawal/entries close deadline will receive an automatic refund minus a $25 administrative fee.

Transportation: Players may walk or ride at their own discretion. Cart fees are included in the players entry fee. The TGA One-Seat Policy is in effect. Either the player or the caddie must walk at all times during the round.  Spectators must walk at all times. TGA One-Seat Policy

Medical Carts/TGA Medical Cart Request Policy: Spectator Carts are prohibited. Spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation has been provided. For further information and details contact Chris Untiedt, Senior Tournament Director.

Score Posting: At the conclusion of each round, each player’s score will be automatically posted to the World Handicap System (WHS). Please do not enter your own scores from the competitive rounds, as this will result in double posting.
