Formerly known as Fun Golf, TGA Member Events are an exclusive benefit for TGA Members of all ages and abilities. TGA Member Events give you access to some of the finest courses throughout Texas in a casual and relaxed setting.

If you have an active GHIN with a club or the TGA, then you are a member of the Texas Golf Association.

Valler Creek has become one of our favorite stops.  The course is always in great shape and the scenery is hard to beat.  Designed by Michael Lowry, Vaaler Creek is located inside the Rockin J Ranch and features well-placed bunkers and beautiful water-features that provide a challenging, yet relaxing round of golf for players of all skill levels.

This event sells out every year and it is the one time we offer this unque playing format.  A classic Perry Maxwell designed golf course. The Golf Club of Dallas is a place with a great history. What is now the Byron Nelson Classic was held here in the 1950s. The likes of Sam Snead, Julius Boros and Bert Yancey collected trophies here.

We had such a great time last year we just had to come back.  The course was spectacular!  Ranked among America’s leading venues, TPC and Cottonwood Valley are part of the comprehensive, award-winning Dallas golf club and resort.  TPC proudly hosted the Byron Nelson Championship, an annual PGA Tour event for 35 years and is an 18-hole, par 70 course measuring 7,166 yards from the championship tees.

You have been asking for this course for the last few years and here it is!  Arlington Golf and the Texas Rangers have partnered to build the world’s only Major League Baseball-branded golf course — the Texas Rangers Golf Club — which opened in 2019.  Site of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Veritex Bank Championship, the course earned “Best New Course” acclaim by the Dallas Morning News in 2020, and was also named the second-best renovation in the world by Golf Inc., in 2019.

After spending the last couple of years on the Cypress course we have moved up to the Tradition course and we are excited!  “A return to the game and it’s origin, pure and simple, where you can have fun and get lost in the game” – Keith Foster, Designer, of The Tradition, The Bandit, Bighorn, The Quarry, and Walking Stick. The Tradition has been #1 in the Houston area year after year…and still going strong!  Cypresswood Golf Club has played host to numerous amateur and professional events including 2nd Stage of PGA Tour School, the Southern Texas PGA Eastern Championship, the Shell Houston Open Qualifier and several Futures Tour Events.

We are back for another year!  If you know you know.  A truly hidden gem tucked away in Lipan, TX just southwest of Fort Worth.  Built in 1988 by course designer Phil Lumsden, Sugar Tree is well known as a shot-maker’s course.  Tree lined fairways provide a challenging layout which requires well thought out shots both off the tees and into the greens.  Add in elevation changes and receptive greens and golfers of all abilities will enjoy our scenic layout.  Four sets of tee boxes, ranging from 5,305 to 6,810 yards, ensures a fair test of golf for all.

The Lakeside is course is fresh off a new rnovation in the fall of 2024.  We were lucky last year to have one of our events there right after they opened and the reviews were off the charts.  Barton Creek is recognized as one of the best resorts in the Southwest by GOLF Magazine, among the top 5 resorts in Texas by Travel + Leisure readers and in the top-ranked courses by Golf Digest and Golfweek.  Ideally perched on a secluded hilltop overlooking Lake Travis, the Palmer Lakeside golf course is a hidden retreat that rewards guests with striking, panoramic lake views and twilight glimpses of whitetail deer.

Renovated and reopened in late 2024, Cedar Creek is no ordinary golf course! This hidden gem, located north of Loop 1604 off Kyle Seale Parkway on the northwest side of San Antonio, offers a true Hill Country golf experience. Originally designed by Finger Dye Spann, Inc. and opened in 1989, Cedar Creek delivers a memorable and challenging round of golf with its rolling hills and stunning vistas.  The San Antonio Open is hosted annually at Cedar Creek Golf Course, which was also a former site for local U.S. Open qualifiers.

This legendary course was the home of the tenth PGA Championship in 1927, a prestigious honor. Designed by A.W. Tillinghast, one of the most prolific architects in the history of golf, Cedar Crest Golf Course continues to be a favorite of Dallas golf enthusiasts. With its rolling terrain, greenside bunkers, and tree-lined fairways, every golfer gets an opportunity to compete as Walter Hagen did, the winner of the 1927 PGA Championship.

Play where the pros play!  Once again we are giving you the chance to play the tournament course just a few weeks before the pros.  Home of the Texas Valero Open to be played April 2nd – 6th, 2025.  TPC San Antonio opened in January 2010 with two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by two of golf’s most innovative architects: Pete Dye and Greg Norman. Both courses have played host to TOUR events with The Oaks course serving as the venue for the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open since 2010. The Canyons course was the site of the San Antonio Championship, a PGA TOUR Champions event.

It has been a few years but we are returning to one of our favorite layouts.  The Canyons course is freash off a complete bunker renovation in 2022.  Due to the differing topography, the Pete Dye-designed Canyons course, paired with Greg Norman’s Oaks course, respectively complement one another with each course encompassing their own unique look, feel and playing experience for both Members and resort guests to enjoy. While very different from the traditional, tree-lined Oaks course, the Canyons course stands on its own as a tournament venue in terms of design, strategy, and hill country beauty. The course played host to PGA TOUR Champions San Antonio Championship from 2011-2015.
