Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified Handicap Index from a TGA member club. Please reference Women’s Competition Policies – TGA for further details, including policies and procedures, and terms of competition.
Entry Procedure: All teams will be placed on the pending list upon entry. Teams that are in the top ten (10) low combined handicaps, they will be requried to play in the Championship or Senior division. Teams outside the top (10) can declare their preferred division.
Handicap Policy: There is a maximum of 8 strokes allowed between partner handicaps. If a partnership has a handicap difference of more than 8 strokes, the higher handicap will be adjusted down to create an 8-stroke difference. For example, if a partnership has a 12 and a 22, we will adjust it 12 and 20 for the event. July 16 handicap index will be used.
Championship Information
Format/Field Size: Play will be contested over 36-holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. All scoring is gross. The field is limited to 50 teams.
Divisions: The field will be split up into three divisions, Championship, Senior and Flights. The Championship division will play from approximately 5900-6100 yards. The Senior division requires both partners to be at least 50 years old by the date of the first round. The top ten (10) teams with the lowest combined handicaps will be required to play in the Championship or Senior division (if eligible). The Flights division will be flighted as needed with no more than 10 teams in a flight. This division is ideal for higher handicap teams and teams that do not meet the Senior age requirement. The Senior and Flights divisions will play from the same set of tees approximately 5000-5300 yards depending on the golf course.
The deadline to change division is Wednesday, July 29 @ 5:00 PM.
