From the Texas Amateur to the next great generation of junior talent, every TGA event plays a vital role in paving the way for golfers in Texas.
An Unprecedented Run
This June stands out as one of the biggest moments in time for the TGA and Legends Junior Tour, driven by the excitement of four majors being held during the month for the first time ever.
The Path to a National Stage
The events above are TGA hosted crown-jewel championships. Winners take home trophies but also earn automatic exemptions to compete in national championships.

In total for 2025, 116 Texas golfers earned their “Golden Ticket” to a USGA Championship through a TGA-conducted qualifier.
Notable Champions
Since 1906, TGA championships have crowned some of the game’s biggest names. Past champions include major winners in Ben Crenshaw and Jordan Spieth, along with LPGA legends in Betsy Rawls and Betty Jameson, cementing these championships as cornerstones of golf in Texas.

The future of Texas golf is bright, and the Legends Junior Tour continues to develop the state’s top young talent. Meet a few rising stars who are already turning heads across Texas.
Becket McLaughlin | Boys 14 & Under Division
Beckett McLaughlin has gotten off to about as hot a start as possible. With five wins in just six starts in 2026 and a fourth-place ranking in the Team Texas Boys Standings, the sky is the limit for the Class of 2030 graduate.
Tripp Depoy | Boys Division
A Colorado State University commit, Tripp Depoy continues to showcase strong play with two runner-up finishes in four starts in 2026. After qualifying for the 77th U.S. Junior Amateur in 2025, Tripp now finds himself atop the Team Texas boys standings as he continues building an impressive junior golf career before taking the next step at the collegiate level.
Elizabeth Bellendir | Girls’ Division
Coppell native Elizabeth Bellindir found herself back in the winner’s circle at the 2026 Bluebonnet Championship, proving that hard work pays off. The victory marked Bellindir’s second win of the 2026 season across the NTPGA and LJT circuits, to go along with one runner-up finish and two additional top-five finishes and sits stop the Team Texas rankings for the Girls.
Esther Li | Girls’ Division
Ranked No. 519 on the Junior Golf Scoreboard, Li is quickly rising through the ranks after capturing two titles in 2026 on the Prestige Tour with the STPGA. The Class of 2029 graduate also recorded a top-five finish at the Texas Girls’ Invitational, helping her earn valuable points and move into second place in the Team Texas girls rankings.
