Kathy Crumley Wins 2020 Women’s Eclectic

BRIEFLY: Kathy Crumley, of San Antonio, captured the 2020 Women’s Eclectic at Hackberry Creek Country Club after shooting an Eclectic score of two-under-par 70. Crumley improved her Eclectic score by six shots during Tuesday’s final round. First round gross leader Raeleigh Davidson finished in a three way tie for second place with an Eclectic score of one-under-par 71. Davidson shared the runner-up position with Olive Henry, of Ennis, and Ashni Dhruva, of Katy. Lorraine Werner captured the Overall Net Championship with a combined Net Eclectic score of 12-under-par 60. Werner, of The Woodlands, carded four net eagle’s in her Eclectic score to clear the closest competitor by three strokes. Sarah Golden, of Stafford, and Jill Rizzo, of College Station, finished in a two way tie for second place with an overall net score of nine-under-par 63.

GOLF COURSE: Hackberry Creek Country Club was designed by legendary golfer Byron Nelson. The Texas-native and 5-time major champion crafted 18 beautiful championship golf holes through the rolling hills of Irving. The course was recently updated with mini Verde greens, premium Arkansas white sand bunkers and water features throughout the layout.
 
WEATHER: Yesterday’s cold windy day turned into a beautiful spring day at Hackberry Creek Country Club for the final round. Temperature’s reached the low 70’s with a mild breeze out of the SSE direction.
