With its spectacular setting in the rolling hill country of Kerrville, The Club at Comanche Trace is one of the state’s most scenic golf courses in Texas. The Club at Comanche Trace features a 27-hole layout that is as challenging as it is fun to play.
For this Championship, the two nines that were utilized were The Hills and The Creeks. The Hills nine was designed by Tom Kite, along with Roy Bechtol and Randy Russell. The second nine being utilized, The Creeks, opened in 2008 and was designed by Jay and Carter Morrish. It’s the newest nine hole track on the property. Both sets of designers took full advantage of the hill country land – rolling hills, water features, and rocky terrain – to create holes that are challenging, exciting and picturesque. The course offers plenty of risk-reward shots for players of all skill levels.
