Entry & Eligibility Information
Entries Open: September 10, 2025 at 9:00 AM
Entries Close / Withdraw Date: October 22, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Entry Fee: $575 (per team)
Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified WHS Handicap Index. Please reference Women’s Competition Policies – TGA for further details.
Entry Procedure: Entries accepted in order of entry except if the event is oversubscribed in the first 24 hours. In this case, the field will be filled by blind draw from the entries returned during the first 24 hours. Any player not drawn will be placed on the waiting list in blind draw order. All subsequent entries will be placed on the waiting list in order of entry.
Championship Information
Format/Field Size: Play will be contested over 36 holes of Chapman Stroke Play (also known as Pinehurst format). Two players play as partners, each playing from the teeing ground and each playing her partner’s ball for the second shot. After the second shot, partners select the ball with which they wish to score and play the ball alternately to complete the hole. The field will be pre-flighted by combined handicap index. The field is limited to 48 two-person teams. October 23 handicap index will be used.
Player Communications: All player emails will be sent through Golf Genius. Please make sure you are subscribed to receive emails in your Golf Genius profile.
Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Gus Wortham GC. The official practice round is Sunday, November 2. The TGA will set up a Golf Genius portal for players to sign up for a tee time between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Please do not call the golf shop for a tee time on November 2. Players will be sent a link to the Golf Genius portal and it will open on October 24 at 9:00 AM. I fyou need to play a practice round on a different day, you will need to call the Head Golf Professional, Mark Rossi at 281-549-8710.
Registration Information: Player registration will be held on Sunday, November 2 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a TGA official that she is unable to make the registration deadline but will be competing in the championship.
Starting Times/Pairings Information: Starting times / pairings for the first round will be made available no later than Friday, October 31 by 5:00 PM online at TXGA.org. Final round starting time/pairings will be available in the evening preceding play (approximately one hour after the completion of play).
Caddies: Caddies are NOT permitted at the Women’s Texas Pinehurst.
Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Prior to the entry deadline players looking to withdraw should do so online through their Golf Genius user profile or by contacting the TGA Staff Contact directly. After the entry deadline has passed players should either call the Texas Golf Association at (214) 468-8942 or email the TGA Staff Contact directly. Withdrawals made prior to the close/withdrawal deadline will receive an automatic refund minus a $25 admin fee.
Transportation: Players may walk or ride at their own discretion. Cart fees are included in the players entry fee. Spectators must walk at all times.
Medical Cart: Spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season.
