Golf Course: Built in 1991 by renowned designer and course architect Ken Dye, Pebble Creek Country Club boasts a 6,896 yard 18-hole championship course.   Known for its natural backdrops at each hole which features winding creeks, hills and lakes throughout, it is a championship-caliber test on all aspects of competitors’ play.  The first round played at around 5,217 yards.

Weather: Thanks to the Fall season’s first cold front throughout Texas, the temperature reached only 80 degrees on an overcast first-day after Sunday’s practice round temperatures rose up to 95 degrees.  The wind blew northwards at 14 mph with gusts up to 23 mph.

In Contention: Austin native Meg Christensen shot a 72 on the day to trail the lead by a single stroke entering Tuesday’s second round.  Following right behind her is Mina Hardin of Fort Worth, who shot a 73.
Three are tied for the fourth spot at 2-over 74, two being past champions in their respective divisions:  Marian Barker (2008, 2009, 2018 Senior Champion) and Jan Rapp (2018 Super-Senior Champion).
