White Bluff New Course

98th Texas Junior Amateur Boys 15-18 Division set for Sept 21-23

ADDISON – The 98th Texas Junior Amateur Boys 15-18 Division will return to White Bluff Resort – New Course for the second consecutive year. The 54-hole tournament will take place from September 21-23, with a cut after 36 holes.

“We are excited to return this prestigious tournament to such a great venue,” said Scott Davidson, Tournament Director of the Legends Junior Tour. “The players enjoyed White Bluff last year. The course and staff are top tier, and it’s a great experience throughout our time there.”

The 98th Texas Junior Amateur, originally scheduled for the Clubs of Kingwood on July 29-31, was rescheduled due to the effects of Hurricane Beryl.

“We would like to thank the Clubs of Kingwood for their hard work in preparing the course before Hurricane Beryl,” Davidson said. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Clubs of Kingwood and returning to their incredible venue in the near future.”

The 98th Texas Junior Amateur is an official USGA exemption event. The champion will earn an exemption into the 77th U.S. Junior Amateur at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.

The field will include the best junior golfers in Texas, competing for the premier title in junior golf for the state. Notable players include 2024 George Hannon Invitational Champion Adam Villanueva, multi-LJT Champion Shiv Parmar, 115th Texas Amateur Champion Reese Roberts, Southern Junior Champion Tyler Sanford, 2024 Texas Cup Invitational Champion Mitchell Maier, and others.

“We believe we have some of the best junior golfers in the nation,” Davidson said. “We are honored that the USGA has made this an exemption event and provided the champion with an exemption into the U.S. Junior.”

White Bluff Resort – New Course is located in Whitney, Texas, just over an hour south of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The New Course stretches just over 6,980 yards, featuring narrow fairways, towering trees, and water throughout the course that challenge players to think carefully about each shot. The Boys 15-18 Division will play from a yardage of 6,934 yards for the major championship.

Players in the 98th Texas Junior Amateur Boys 15-18 Division are members of the Texas Junior Golf Alliance, a partnership between the Texas Golf Association and the Southern and Northern Texas PGA Sections. The alliance offers junior golfers top-tier competition across the state and a path for growth throughout their golfing careers.

The First Round of the 98th Texas Junior Amateur Boys 15-18 Division will commence on September 21 at 8 a.m. off of No.1 and No.10 Tees. For more information on the 98th Texas Junior Amateur, click here.
