Entry & Eligibility Information
Entries Open: Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026 at 9:00 AM
Entries Close: Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 5:00 PM
Entry Fee: $340 (Boys and Girls Divisions) / $325 (Boys and Girls 14 & Under Divisions)
Eligibility: Players must be a Texas Resident and have a current membership with a member of the Texas Junior Golf Alliance. Players can renew or sign up with the Northern Texas PGA or the Southern Texas PGA membership to be eligible.
Entry Procedure: Players in the Boys Division must have an exemption or qualify through one of 9 Qualifiers or 2 Last Chance Qualifiers. Players in the Girls Division will be added to the field according to the Exemption-Based Entry procedures immediately following the close of registration.
Players in the Boys 14 & Under Division will be added to the field according to the Exemption-Based Entry procedures immediately following the close of registration.
Players in the Girls 14 & Under Divisions will be added to the field according to the Texas Junior Amateur Priority Entry System procedures immediately following the close of registration.

Championship Information
Format/Field Size: The championship will be an individual stroke play competition with four (4) age divisions: Boys, Girls, Boys 14 & Under, and Girls 14 & Under. The Boys Division will compete on the Dye Course and the other three divisions will compete on the Fazio Course at Stonebriar Country Club.
The Overall Boys and Girls Divisions will play 54 holes. At the conclusion of 36 holes, the Boys Division will be cut to the low 45 players (and ties) and the Girls Division will be cut to the low 27 players (and ties). The Boys and Girls 14 & Under Divisions will play 36 holes
Divisions: The field is limited to 240 players as outlined below;
Boys 15-18 Division – 120 Players filled by Exemptions and Qualifying
Girls 15-18 Division – 60 Players filled by Exemptions and Player Rankings
Boys 14U – 45 Players filled by Exemptions and Player Rankings
Girls 14U – 15 Players filled with our Priority Entry System
The 100th Texas Junior Amateur is an Official USGA Exemption Event which will award exemptions into the 2026 U.S. Boys and Girls Junior Championships to the champions of the Overall Boys and Girls Divisions.
Practice Round Information: The official practice round date is Sunday, June 28 from 12:00PM – 4:00PM. Players will be given instructions to schedule their Practice Round through an online portal that will be communicated to all confirmed players. Practice round fees are $55 walking / $80 with a cart.

Starting Times/Pairings Information
Starting times/pairings for the first round will be made no later than Friday, June 26. Pairings will be listed online on the tournament homepage at TXGA.org. Final round starting times/pairings will be available in the evening preceding play online at TXGA.org.
Caddies
Caddies are NOT permitted for the championship. Rule 10.3a will be modified in this way: A player must not have a caddie during a round.
Rules of Golf
The Championship will be contested under the 2023 Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association® and R&A, its interpretations and clarifications, 2026 Legends Junior Tour Local Rules and Terms of Competition. For more information on rules, visit the USGA Rules of Golf Hub.
EXEMPTIONS
Players competing in the Boys Division must earn an exemption or qualify for the Texas Junior Amateur through one of the Qualifying Sites. Players competing in the Girls Division and the Boy’s 14 and Under Division will be filled according to Exemption-Based Entry Proceedures. Players competing in the Girls 14U Divisions gain entry through the LJT Priority Entry System.
