Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: Wednesday, August 26, 2026 @ 9:00 AM CST
Entries Close: Wednesday, October 7, 2026 @ 5:00 PM CST
Entry Fee: $270 (includes 4 rounds of golf, carts, range balls, three lunches, player gift and awards.

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers who are 50 years of age or older by the date of the first round and are residents of Texas with a certified WHS handicap from a TGA member club. Please reference Women’s Competition Policies – TGA  for further details, including policies and procedures, and terms of competition.

Entry Procedure: All players will be placed on the pending list. Exempt players will be confirmed and the players with the low 16 handicaps will be confirmed first. After that, players will be confirmed by order of entry. In the event the field becomes over booked, registrants will be placed on a waitlist in order of entry and accepted into field in order as spots become available.

Championship Information

Format/Field Size: Play will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play. Maximum field is 88. Field will be divided into two divisions.

Divisions: The field will be split into two divisions; Championship and Flights. Each division will play from a different yardage. The Championship tees (approximately 5400-5600 yards ) and the Flights (approximately 4950 -5200 yards). The sixteen players with the lowest handicaps will be required to play in the Championship division. Any other player with a handicap of 14.4 or less may declare to play the Championship division. The Flights division will be pre-flighted based on handicaps as of October 15, 2026. The deadline to declare division is October 21 @ 5:00 PM CST.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round. We will use Golf Genius for players to sign up for the October 25th practice round. Specific details about scheduling your tee time will be provided at a later date. Calls to the Golf Shop to schedule tee times will not be accepted.

Registration Information: Player registration will take place on October 25th. Specific time and location will be provided at a later date.

Starting Times/Pairings Information: We will use a 9:00 Shotgun start Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The pairings for the first round will be made no later than October 23rd @ 5:00 PM online at www.txga.org. Times/pairings  for subsequent rounds will be available in the evening preceding play (approximately one hour after the completion of play) online at www.txga.org

Caddies: Caddies are permitted and must adhere to all Women’s Competition Policies – TGA and host club policies.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Prior to the entry deadline players looking to withdraw should do so online through their Golf Genius user profile or by contacting the TGA Staff Contact directly. To receive an automatic refund, withdrawals must be made prior to October 14th at 5:00 pm central time. After the entry deadline has passed players should either call the Texas Golf Association at (214) 468-8942 or email the TGA Staff Contact directly. Only withdrawals on the day of the competition should be directed to the host club golf shop. Withdrawals must be made prior to close of entries to receive automatic refund.

Transportation: Players may walk or ride at their own discretion. Cart fees are included in the players entry fee. The TGA One-Policy is in effect. Spectators must walk at all times.

Medical Cart: Spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation has been provided. For further information and details contact Chris Untiedt, Senior Tournament Director.

Score Posting: The TGA will post all scores for individual stroke play events to players GHIN number. Players are asked to not post scores for individual TGA stroke play events as it will result in a duplicate posting.

Host Hotel Information:

The TGA has partnered with the following hotel to offer a special rate for tournament participants. Participants are responsible for individually booking their room for the championship, if needed.
