Entry & Eligibility Information

Entries Open: Wednesday, July 2, 2025
Entries Close: Wednesday, August 13, 2025
Entry Fee: $270

Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers who are 50 years of age or older by the date of the first round and are residents of Texas with a certified WHS handicap. Please reference Women’s Competition Policies – TGA  for further details, including policies and procedures, and terms of competition.

Entry Procedure: The field will be established in the order in which entries are received. In the event the field becomes over booked, registrants will be placed on a waitlist in order of entry and accepted into field in order as spots become available.

Host Hotel Information:

The TGA has partnered with the following hotel to offer a special rate for tournament participants. Participants are responsible for individually booking their room for the championship, if needed.

Championship Information

Format/Field Size: Play will be contested of 54 holes of stroke play. Maximum field is 96. Upon completion of 36-holes, the field will be flighted based on scores.

Divisions: The field will be split into two divisions; Championship and Flights. Each division will play from a different yardage. The Championship tees (approximately  5550-5700 yards ) and the Flights (approximately 4950 -5175 yards). The sixteen players with the lowest handicaps will be required to play the Championship tees. All other players may select which Division to play.

Practice Round Information: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round. We will use Golf Genius for players to sign up for the Augsut 24th practice round. Please do not call the Golf Shop to schedule your round on the 24th.  You will be sent a link on August 14th and the Golf Genius portal for practice rounds will be open for sign up on August 15 at 9:00 am. Available times will be between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. If a player needs to play on a day other than August 24, you can call Mark Duranski at (713) 869-2812 and they will accomodate you based on course availability. If a player woudl like to play more than one practice round, the normail guest rate of 100.00 + tax will apply. 

Registration Information: Player registration will take place on August 24th from 12:00 to 3:30 PM. We will be located just outside the Golf Shop.

Starting Times/Pairings Information: We will use a 9:00 Shotgun start Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The pairings for the first round will be made no later than August 22nd online at TXGA.org. Times/pairings  for subsequent rounds will be available in the evening preceding play (approximately one hour after the completion of play) online at TXGA.org.

Caddies: Caddies are permitted and must adhere to all Women’s Competition Policies – TGA and host club policies.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Prior to the entry deadline players looking to withdraw should do so online through their Golf Genius user profile or by contacting the TGA Staff Contact directly. To receive an automatic refund, withdrawals must be made prior to August 13 at 5:00 pm central time. After the entry deadline has passed players should either call the Texas Golf Association at (214) 468-8942 or email the TGA Staff Contact directly. Only withdrawals on the day of the competition should be directed to the host club golf shop. Withdrawals must be made prior to close of entries to receive automatic refund.

Transportation: Players may walk or ride at their own discretion. Cart fees are included in the players entry fee. The TGA ‘One-Seat’ Policy is in effect. Spectators must walk at all times.

Medical Cart: Spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation has been provided. For further information and details contact Chris Untiedt, Senior Tournament Director.

Score Posting: The TGA will post all scores for individual stroke play events to players GHIN number. Players are asked to not post scores for individual TGA stroke play events as it will result in a duplicate posting.
