Selection Process: The Team Texas Committee is comprised of representatives from the Texas Golf Association (TGA), the Northern Texas PGA (NTPGA) and Southern Texas PGA (STPGA) Sections. The committee will name 20 athletes (10 boys and 10 girls) to represent the first Team Texas in 2027.

Taking into consideration Texas’ large geographic area, the committee has decided to split Texas into a Northern region and a Southern region. The committee will take the top three boys and top three girls from each region. The next two highest point earners regardless of region will also be selected.  The remaining two spots will be selected by the committee with the consideration of the following: points standing, scoring average, competitive round statistics, work ethic, enthusiasm to learn, and their character on and off the course.
