As a proud partner of Make Golf Your Thing, the Texas Golf Association participated in the Make Golf Your Career HBCU Golf Consortium held at Texas Southern University in Houston on March 26 and Paul Quinn College in Dallas on April 9. This initiative aims to connect golf industry talent recruiters directly with students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to foster engaging discussions about internships, full-time employment, and the abundance of opportunities within the $102 billion golf industry. 

Make Golf Your Thing is part of the White House Initiative on HBCUs and is financially supported by golf’s governing bodies (PGA of America, PGA TOUR, LPGA, and USGA) to welcome more people from historically underrepresented backgrounds to the sport and shed light on the extensive opportunities within the golf industry.
