Shannon Fish-Martin Featured in Global Golf Post

After a lengthy absence from competitive golf, Montgomery’s Shannon Fish-Martin is making headlines again for her outstanding play. Earlier this year, the 37-year-old former University of Texas standout reached the semifinals of the 104th Women’s Texas Amateur at Corpus Christi Country Club before bowing out to eventual champion Grace Jin of Huntsville. Most recently, Fish-Martin advanced to the final four at the 38th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur at Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach, Calif.

The road back has not been an easy one for Fish-Martin, who turned professional in 2011 and played seven seasons on the Symetra (now Epson) Tour before regaining her amateur status in 2021. In a recent Global Golf Post article, Everett Munez covers Fish-Martin’s inspirational journey,  which can be found here.
