Entry & Eligibility Information

Eligibility: This event is invitation only with players earning exemptions through the TGA Player of the Year Standings. All players must have competed in a minimum of two Texas Golf Association Events in the current season

Entry Procedure: Invitations will be sent out to players that have earned exemptions through the events exemption criteria. Emails will be sent out with information on getting signed up for the event and confirming your spot in the field.

The TGA reserves the right to select players to be in the field. For Mens exemption request details, please view TGA Mens Competition Policies. For Womens exemption request details, please view TGA Womens Competition Policies.

Exemptions

Provided players are otherwise eligible, exemptions are given to the following:
a) Top six Mid-Amateurs from State Player of the Year Standings
b) Top Mid-Amateur from North Regional Player of the Year Standings
c) Top Mid-Amateur from South Regional Player of the Year Standings
d) Top six Seniors from State Senior Player of the Year Standings
e) Top three Womens Mid-Amateurs from Womens Player of the Year Standings
f) Player of the Year from Womens Senior Player of the Year Standings

Ties for any statewide standings will be broken to determine participants for any TGA selected team in the following order:
1) By the better finish in current years Texas Mid-Amateur
2) By the better finish in the current years Texas Amateur
3) Low final round in current years Texas Amateur

Ties for the two Regional Player of the year spots will be broken to determine participants in the following order:
1) By the better finish in the current years corresponding Regional Mid-Amateur
2) By the better finish in the current years corresponding Regional Amateur
3) By the better finish in the current years West Texas Amateur

Ties for the six Senior spots will be broken to determine participants in the following order:
1) By the better finish in the current years Texas Senior Amateur
2) Low final round in the current years Texas Senior Amateur
3) Low final nine holes in the current years Texas Senior Amateur

Ties for the three Womens Mid-Amateur spots will be broken to determine participants in the following order:
1) By the better finish in the current years Womens Texas Amateur
2) By the better finish in the current years Womens Stroke Play Championship
3) Low final round in the current years Womens Stroke Play Championship

Ties for the one Womens Senior Spot will be broken to determine participation in the following order:
1) By the better finish in the current years Womens Senior Stroke Play Championship
2) Low final round in the current years Womens Senior Stroke Play Championship
3) Low final nine holes in the current years Womens Senior Stroke Play Championship

Championship Information

Format/Field Size: The championship will be contested over 36 holes of team cup matches (Four-Ball and Singles). Teams are comprised of 18 players from the Oklahoma Golf Association and 18 players from the Texas Golf Association, 36 players total. The 18 players representing each organization will comprise of 8 Mid-Ams, 6 Senior Ams, and 4 Women Mid-Ams. Each Match will be worth a total of 3 points. 1 point for the Front Nine, 1 Point for Back Nine, & 1 Point for Overall.

Starting Times/Pairings Information: Matches will be established onsite and sent out through the tournament portal.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Players should either call the Texas Golf Association at (214) 468-8942or email the TGA Staff Contact directly.

Transportation: Players may walk or ride at their own discretion. Cart fees are included in the players entry fee.

Medical Cart: Spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation has been provided. For further information and details contact Senior Tournament Director – Chris Untiedt.

Score Posting: The TGA will post all scores for individual stroke play events to players GHIN number. Players are asked to not post scores for individual TGA stroke play events as it will result in a duplicate posting.
