Estorga Lead’s North Mid-Amateur After 5-Under 67
FORT WORTH – Dallas’ Anthony Estorga carded a stellar 5-under-par 67 in Saturday’s second round of the North Mid-Amateur at Waterchase Golf Club. He leads by two strokes over Fort Worth’s Jeff Murray heading into Sunday’s final round.

Second Round Results
Golf Course: Located in Fort Worth, Waterchase Golf Club challenges even the best players, meandering around and through creeks. The course features tree-lined fairways and water-lined fairways that require precision off the tee. Strategically placed penalty areas and bunkers require players to think their way around the course. Waterchase Golf Club is playing 6,909 yards for all players.
First Round Wrap Up: Estorga’s 5-under 67 included an eagle on the par-5, third hole, and five birdies, against just two bogeys. His lead is two shots over Murray, who carded a second round 1-under 71 in chilly, windy conditions. Murray carded 4 birdies on his round. First-round leader Mike Lohner and Josh Irving sit in a tie for third place, three shots back of Estorga.
Lohner continues to be the Low Mid-Master, who is a player 40 years or older, after his second round 73. Lewis Stephenson is two shots back of Lohner, while Rob Couture is three shots back heading into Sunday’s final Round.
Weather: The temperature was a little cooler Saturday, reaching the mid 60’s. The overcast weather produced winds around 15-20 mph and a brief rain showers came and went throughout the day.
