Caitlyn Cassity and Meghan Moake Win Women’s Texas Pinehurst
Briefly: Teammates Caitlyn Cassity of Katy and Meghan Moake of Houston, posted a four-over-par 76 Final Round to finish at five-over-par 149 and win the 2020 Women’s Texas Pinehurst. Cassity and Moake credit similarities in their game for allowing them to work well as a team. After a double-bogey on hole nine, the team was “really proud of their ability to hold it together” on a challenging course with quick greens.

Golf Course: Panorama Golf Club – located just North of The Woodlands, Texas – is home to some of the best layouts in the greater Houston area. The combination of the Rolling Hills nine and the Thunderbird nine, designed by Jay Riviere in 1962, provides a challenging yet enjoyable course for all golfers.
Weather: It was a beautiful autumn day in Conroe with temperatures reaching a high of 75 degrees. The wind was calm at 1 mph out of the southeast.
In Contention: Kelley Nittoli of San Antonio and Julie Robichaux of Kingwood tied for second with Marian Barker of Lubbock and Joanna Davis of Georgetown finishing three strokes behind Cassity and Moake with a seven-over-par total of 151.
Teammates Lee Ann Penick and Sally Bowman both of Austin tied for fourth with Houston’s Mary Jane Wagner and Shelley Serres and teammates Camm Dougherty of Corpus Christi and Jennifer Hoyt of Horseshoe Bay with an eight-over-par total of 152.
What’s Next: The Women’s Saturday Series – Houston will be held at The Clubs of Kingwood – Forest Course on November 7th.
