Round Two Suspended Until Sunday Morning
The second round of the South Amateur Championship, presented by CLUB CHAMPION, experienced numerous thunderstorms throughout the afternoon. Multiple delays due to the lightning in the area around Kingwood’s Deerwood Club has caused the second round to be suspended until Sunday morning. For those players who have yet to complete their second round, play will resume for them at 7:30am.
Round three will begin at 8:00am and players will remain in their same groups as they were in round two for the play of round three. Sunday afternoon’s forecast does have potential for more thunderstorms, and keeping players in their round two groups allows for play to begin at 8:00am for round three.
