Boles Wins Rain-Shortened Texas Cup Invitational

McKinney, Texas – Brian Boles of Lubbock won the 2019 Texas Cup Invitational after the final round was cancelled at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club due to unplayable course conditions on Wednesday.

Afte the second round, Boles sat at 1-over-par 143 overall and one stroke ahead the field. A storm rolled in overnight with winds gusting near 60 miles per hour and rain that fell from 3:00 am until 10:00 am. The round was initially delayed one hour to start and eventually pushed back to a 12:00 pm shotgun start, but the Dye Course was unable to dry up from the overnight deluge. The Legends Junior Tour staff decided to cancel the final round.
