Round 2 Results | Round 3 Pairings

Golf Course: The John Bredemus design was built in 1928 and features a traditional layout with narrow fairways and small greens. The 18-hole championship golf course was renovated by Ralph Plummer in 1954 and then redesigned by Jay Morrish in 1987. Despite its shorter length, the tree-lined fairways and sloped Tifeagle greens have withstood the test of time and demand accuracy over brute strength.

Weather: Sunny and clear skies with the temperature reaching 83 degrees.  The wind blew out of the Northwest at 17mph.

In Contention: San Antonio’s Kelly Nittoli sits in second at 8-over-par 152, falling just a single stroke behind the lead.

Marilyn Hardy of Magnolia, shot a 2-over-par 74 in the second round moving her to third.  Hardy enters the final round at 9-over-par on the tournament.

Stephanie Blount of Mission sits in fourth with a 10-over-par 154 for the tournament.  Corinth’s Mitzi Campbell and San Antonio’s Cathy Crumley came in tied for fifth with a 14-over-par 158 total.

What’s Next: The final round starting times begin Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. at Ridglea Country Club. Players were placed into six different flights for Wednesday’s final round based off of their 36-hole total scores.
