17th Women’s Eclectic heads to The Bandit

ADDISON – The 17th edition of the Women’s Eclectic will be held at The Bandit Golf Club in New Braunfels for the first time. The event, which marks the inaugural competition on the TGA Women’s Calendar, will take place March 25-26.

“We’re excited to bring this event back to the Hill Country,” said TGA Women’s Director. “The Bandit is thrilled to host, and their membership and staff have been incredible in preparing for it. It will be a fantastic event to kick off the calendar year for women’s golf.”

Designed by world-renowned course architect Keith Foster and carved into the rolling terrain along Long Creek and Lake McQueeney, The Bandit is an award-winning championship course in the greater San Antonio area. Open to the public, it’s just five minutes from downtown New Braunfels and 30 minutes from San Antonio. Convenient access to highways leading to Austin and Houston makes The Bandit a must-play destination for golfers in Texas.

The 17th Women’s Eclectic is a two-day tournament in which players compete over the same 18 holes on both days, aiming to post the lowest score on each hole. The best score on each hole is recorded as the eclectic or “ringer” score.

At the 16th Women’s Eclectic, held at Panorama Golf Club, Anna Schultz of Heath, a multiple-time TGA winner, claimed the gross-score division. Schultz’s second-round score, which was seven strokes better, propelled the former Women’s Texas Amateur champion to the top of the leaderboard. Angie Lindoff of Katy triumphed in the net division with a score of 14-under 58, improving by 10 strokes on the second day.

The 17th Women’s Eclectic will commence on March 25 at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
