Entry & Eligibility Information
Entries Open: June 4, 2025 at 9:00 AM
Entries Close / Withdraw Deadline: July 16, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Division Change Deadline: July 23, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Entry Fee: $575 per Team
Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with a certified WHS Handicap Index. Please reference TGA Women’s Competition Policies for further details, including policies and procedures, and terms of competition.
Entry Procedure: The field will be established in the order in which entries are received. In the event the championship becomes over-subscribed, acceptance of entries will be based on the lowest combined team WHS Handicap Index as of Wednesday, July 16.
Handicap Policy: If a partnership has a handicap difference of more than 8 strokes, the higher handicap will be adjusted down to create an 8-stroke difference. For example, if a partnership has a 12 and a 22, we will adjust it 12 and 20 for the event. July 16 handicap index will be used.
Championship Information
Format/Field Size: Play will be contested over 36-holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. The field is limited to 50 teams.
Divisions: The field will be split up into two divisions; Championship and Flights. The ten (10) teams with the lowest combined handicap indexes will be required to play from the championship tees. Those who do not wish to play in the championship division will be pre-flighted based on their combined handicap indexes. The maximum spread of partners’ index of 8.0 will be used for the purpose of creating flights.
The deadline to change division is Wednesday, July 23 at 5:00 PM.
Practice Round Information: Each team is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Ridgewood Country Club on Monday, July 28. More information on scheduling your practice round tee time will be provided to players once qualifying has been completed. (Please do not contact the host club to schedule this complimentary practice round)
Registration Information: Player registration will be held Monday, July 28th between 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM. If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a TGA official that she is unable to make the registration deadline but will be competing in the championship.
Starting Times/Pairings Information: Starting times/pairings for the first round will be made no later than Friday, July 25, 2025 online at www.txga.org. Final Round times/pairings will be available in the evening preceding play (approximately one hour after the completion of play) online at www.txga.org. Final round starting times/pairings will be re-drawn based on total score following the previous rounds of play.
Caddies: Caddies are NOT permitted during the championship.
Cancellation/Withdrawal Procedure: Prior to the entry deadline players looking to withdraw should do so online through their Golf Genius user profile or by contacting the TGA Staff Contact directly. After the entry deadline has passed players should either call the Texas Golf Association at (214) 468-8942 or email the TGA Staff Contact directly. Only withdrawals on the day of the competition should be directed to the host club golf shop.
Transportation: Players are encouraged to ride carts during all championship rounds. Cart fees are included in the players entry fee. Carts are limited to two (2) riders at one time and two (2) carts per group. Spectators must walk at all times.
Prizes/Awards: Merchandise gift certificates redeemable at the host club golf shop will be awarded to the overall gross champions and the top gross champions in each flight.
Medical Cart: Spectators in accordance of ADA compliance may request golf carts. Requests for golf carts must be supported by complete documentation, including the fully-completed Cart Request Form and the required accompanying medical documentation specified in that form for all first-time requests. Any medical cart request that is granted by the TGA will be good for that individual for the remainder of that calendar season. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation has been provided. For further information and details contact Chris Untiedt, Senior Tournament Director.
Score Posting: The TGA will post all scores for individual stroke play events to players GHIN number. Players are asked to not post scores for individual TGA stroke play events as it will result in a duplicate posting.
